McClure & Feuer is retained by international, national, regional and local law firms. We assist with mergers, the addition of practice groups and the placement of individual partners and associates to expand existing practices. We also provide strategic counseling as to the viability of launching new offices in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. In our in-house practice, McClure & Feuer conducts searches for chief legal officers, associate and assistant general counsel, corporate counsel and patent counsel. In all engagements, our services include assisting clients with framing the parameters of each search and in determining appropriate compensation and benefits packages.

Our services offer three distinct benefits: (1) Bring the most outstanding attorney candidates to the attention of our clients; (2) Advise clients about business and economic forces impacting the availability of qualified candidates; and (3) Extend client marketing efforts by disseminating information to the legal community about our clients' core strengths and market orientation.

McClure & Feuer is proactive in searching for candidates of the highest caliber. We have excellent referral sources, deep personal networks in the legal and business communities and we conduct extensive research of public domain information in order to identify top candidates. Our use of computer-aided research and practice management tools is state-of-the-art.

Where geographically feasible, each candidate is interviewed in-person by a one of our recruiters. During the interview process, background information is collected and analyzed. We touch on academic credentials, legal experience, personal characteristics and stature in the legal, business and civic communities. Candidates are presented to clients only after we have concluded that a probable match exists.

Co-founders Sari McClure and Matt Feuer have worked together since 1990 and have cemented successful matches between clients and candidates throughout Northern California and other parts of the U.S. The legal search firm of McClure & Feuer was founded in 1995. Our third recruiter, Maureen McGee joined the firm in 2006 and handles associate engagements and in-house assignments.

In addition, McClure & Feuer has established reciprocal relationships with recruiting firms located in Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington, D.C. in order to assist candidates who need service in these geographic regions.
